House Rules (According to Jac)
For the record, as I sit downstairs enjoying a yummy roasted sweet potato/black bean/guacamole burrito, there is a girl on my couch upstairs enjoying her dinner whilst wearing a hat, striped (evidently ugly) socks and a tutu.
Which means there is drama...because she isn't following the rules. Jac's rules.
Summer vacation is in like 40 days. Yay?
In a minute, I'm going to go upstairs and read. Behind a closed door.

This is it...
The beginning of the end of elementary school...the last spring concert. In about 6 weeks, we will step foot in there for possibly the last time ever.
Stay tuned for graduation.

Taste the Rainbow
As an experiment, I hurt my back and lay around the house for about a month; just to see what would happen.
I should mention I suck at keeping house. I'm really bad about it. Mostly, because I just don't care about cleaning as much as I care about ANYTHING else. Even so, it would be nice to have one horizontal surface (floor included) in this joint that wasn't piled so high with junk I'm fearing for my life at every turn. Need I even bother mentioning the rest of them suck at cleaning, as well?
I'm feeling somewhat better. I can walk for longer periods of time without my one foot pretending to be like that wheel (you know that wheel) on the faulty shopping cart that just goes all over the place without direction taking the whole cart (or, in this case, my body) with it.
I no longer have to lean on the shopping cart the entire time I am in the store in order to remain upright-ish.
The reward for this combo was that 3 of us ate it (at least pieces of it) without drama. Jac...he went on some jag about how his eyes turn purple when he doesn't eat meat. I told him that was a result of him staying up later than he should, but you can't tell him anything. Especially when he's scouring all the food spots for "canned meat". He found a can of chicken, so we remain drama free. Ten bucks his eyes are still purple tomorrow.

I want.
I caved on the MRI. Not on the treatment, just the MRI. Because I started thinking about documentation of issues from someplace the medical profession actually recognizes. Just in case I need that when I'm old or something. And because I'm not all that bright when it comes to Google and tend to think Google is my friend. Even though I know if you Google anything health related, the internet will have you dead by sunset.
It's not technically time to be setting out tomato plants, but I had 3 seedlings that were probably going to die if I left them in those little containers any longer. They are these.
Sugar Snaps I got from High Mowing Seeds. I'm not sure if I'm happy with them or not. We've had such a funky spring I might be unfairly judging them. We shall see what they do. P.S. I'm not all that fond of our four maple trees. They make such a mess.
The birds will probably get to them before I can. Not much to worry about. I only have a few surviving plants from an old patch.
I need to figure out some things to do with tarragon. Really, it's too much. Anybody want some?
Bleeding hearts will always be my favorite, but irises are so lovely....
I have a herniated disc. Good to know.
For the record, I would not like to ever have another MRI. I should have Google'd that. 45 minutes nearly naked in a tiny tube where the strapped me (even my head) to a table. Good times. Not. It took a lot for me to not push the panic button so I could get out of there. Evidently, I do not like to be in enclosed spaces.
Enough of that. I want. Really want to be out in my garden. I'm tired of laying around and this is prime season. It's started, but there is so much to do. I couldn't do any work, but I could take pictures...

This is a weird thing. I planted one purple columbine a few years back. Now, I have columbines all over the place. And they are all different colors...pink, white, yellow, purple... How did that happen?
