Back in the Groove...

We had dinner every day this week...just sayin'.  You know it has been kind of rough if I have to actually say that.

My new favorite warm salad.

Avocado, steamed green beans, roasted beets and red potatoes with a mustard/horseradish vinaigrette.  The vinaigrette is what makes it.

I'm sad dinner is over, it was that good.

Truth

I have missed real food.

Random assortment of everything I have been craving...

Because

Curried pumpkin soup with a side of beet greens with white beans and stone ground mustard.

Because we are thinking about jumping back on the vegan train.

Because I can't be trusted to feed us real food when we are on some other train.

Three out of four of us had seconds.  One of us didn't even taste it.

Three out of four is progress.

Change of Season

The theme of this year is "unbalanced".

What that means is I have put too much on my plate for most of it.  I've been away trying to manage all of that.  Sort of unsuccessfully.

I can do that for awhile, but not long-term.

Lessons learned, right?

It's time for a change of season.

Other seasons have also abruptly changed.  It's suddenly cold.  What?  Already?  Sigh...

Yarn on the needles....in honor of the cold.

What is better on a cold day than new yarn and a pot of soup on the stove?  After today, finished homework won't be a part of that answer...for awhile.  ;-)
