Not going to do like last year and make a whole series about what happened at Son Spot. Because...well...this whole summer has been about me and that's for me. ;-)
But, here's what we did:
Sunday-Picnic with the church
Monday-Assembled 50 food bags to go out to homes
Tuesday-Built a sand sculpture (In actuality, we just did the sand digging part.)
Wednesday-Spent the day at Assateague
Thursday-Cooked dinner for 400...chicken and rice and homemade applesauce cake
Friday-Sorted and put away the food bank delivery and then spent most of the rest of the rainy-ish day just hanging out in the church.
Cooked and served breakfast Mon, Tues, Fri, Sat as part of their meal ministry.
Good times. For real. I even did a couple of new things that were way outside of my comfort zone. :-)
